Great stay and service for family, and a great new year party too
From the moment you walk in, you immediately feel you’re on holiday and will be well taken care of.
We visited here with our two kids under 5 and both sets of grandparents and were also joined by more family who live locally. 18 in total! And quite a few rooms.
Where to begin, our reception was brilliant- we were lucky enough to upgrade to Rock Royalty, so there was a private lounge for checking in, breakfast, afternoon tea and nibbles and cocktails in the evening. The staff were incredible attentive and couldn’t do enough to assist and help. Even remembering our usual drinks and requests. Even without the lounge. The main breakfast buffet was extremely good quality and with loads of choice and live cooking to order.
The pool is really something! It’s a massive free form pool with several separate but connected sections of various depths and styles. What’s really special is the sandy section which has sand around the pool and in the pool too; so it really feels like you’re wading in the shallow waters of the beech! As the actual beech – a mere walk though the back gate – had jelly fish about we hardly went there during our stay. In fact, the kids were quite happy to spend time in the pool, water slides and splash park, not to mention the kids club.
The rooms were great too. We had a kids suite which had lots of cool touches such as a tv and PlayStation in the kids room as well as a big tv in our bedroom. Plenty of free movies to watch including lots of new stuff. Slippers, Dressing gowns and generous sized toiletries too. There were even children’s books for the kids.
Plenty of eating options within the hotel and lots of nearby eateries too.
My wife loved the spa saying the treatments were really lovely and so were the staff.
We dealt with a reservations agent called Magdalene Koay, who was exceptionally helpful.
Was our first time in a Hard Rock Hotel and we’re not massively into the theme but we can’t wait to try out another of their hotels as soon as we can.
