We loved our stay at the Hard Rock and will definitely be staying there again when we return to Penang. The staff, the facilities and just the general vibe of the hotel were absolutely perfect...

Loved the Hard Rock Hotel, we had a lagoon room and it was just the coolest thing.  Parents got a chance to chill out while still being able to supervise an energetic 10 year old who only wanted to swim all day. A night time swim after a long and busy hot day, on our last night, while listening to your fantastic entertainment in the lounge was the highlight.  It was a lovely relaxed, yet vibrant time, towards the end of a very hectic and exciting holiday in Malaysia.

Staff here beyond amazing will definitely be back for an amazing time!!!!!

Raju, Puven & Sundari excellent service. Raju always made sure we had bungers in the shade towel hand out for us when we got to the pool. Puven for making our breakfast experience one we will not forget. Sundari for housekeeping our room so clean & tidy.

Overall an awesome experience and we look forward to coming back. Only downside was that our room was not ready at midday check-in. We had left Sydney for KL the night before, then 6 hour stopover (3.30am - 9.30am) at KL and were tired and needed a room by the time we got there so it was disappointing to wait a few hours for a room. On the plus side, the following people deserve a special mention for their awesome customer service:- Iejan, Shafie was fantastic upon check-in. He handled the situation in a very professional and friendly manner. He remembers the guests' names and this makes the guests feel special. Aldi provided wonderful service at breakfast time.- Raju had excellent customer service skills at the pool towel dispatch. In fact all the guys at the pool were awesome with the guests and the activities they held were the best we've ever experienced around the world.- Darwin in the pool bar was the best and friendliest bar man you will ever meet. We really enjoyed our chats with him at the pool bar. The hotel is lucky to have such exceptional, dedicated employees as these guys. Thanks and hopefully see you next year.

I was impressed when I had checked in, the staff had served me a glass of orange juice which other hotels did not. Other than that, I was really appreciative that you guys had upgraded my room and what was more fantastic and rocking was the sea view that I had. It was really amazing! The staff was also very helpful to extend my late checkout by an hour. I am truly impressed by your service, especially by your front line members who created the first impression. I will definitely be back at Hard Rock when I visit Penang again to have a rocking time.

Fitri/Raju/Akin friendly & helpful, all nice guys. All pool & hotel staff were very friendly & helpful. Pool staff were great activities fun, especially water polo & canoe race.

We are very happy especially with the staff who served us at the reception whom we met, particularly a lady named Crystal and a young bespectacled gentleman named Jeff. They were both very courteous, helpful and did their very best to serve everyone even though it was a busy time with so many people during the check in/check out times.

This is our 3rd time stay n we would definitely come again! my kid loves the pool but the slide pool was a bit crowded this time. anyway, keep up the hard rocking job!!!!we love u Hard Rock Hotel!!!

Our stay was awesome. The staff went over the top to help. The head waiter at breakfast was a lovely man.. The concierge staff always assisted and was friendly. The reception staff always met our requested and assisted when needed. We had ROCKING stay :-) big thanks and we will be recommending to others. See you next time.

 Staff during check in was awesome and friendly I think her name was Puyi. The waiter at hard rock (an Indian guy) was superb, friendly and recommends food very well. I was not told about the King Club access at check in. I i had known i would have opted for it. That was a bit regretful. But otherwise, it was rocking!!

Eye, always happy, cares about guests, loves the Hard Rock Hotel. All staff deserve praise with their friendly & attentive manner. Our stay was very special- we will return & recommend.

Fadzil (6th floor Kings club) helpful & friendly. Been here for the past 5 years, he never fail to serve us in very good and polite manner! He’s one of your best staff!. Zack (Cook in King club) he cooks to your perfection. He is a friendly staff too! By working around the clock he still can smile and greet us.

 Eye he was helpful and was entertaining. Good hotel and will surely come again.

Lovely stay from the moment we were greeted with a wonderful smile by the reception staff who are very pleasant and friendly. The room was very stylist and comfortable and had no problem during our stays. Definitely the best 5 star value in the area and will come back again in future and will recommend to my friend and member of families.

Overall I had a wonderful, excellent stay at hard rock Penang. The atmosphere was terrific and the room was perfect. We got the pool excess and I say it was beautiful. I would recommend that higher recognition should be given to Wei Wei Tan from Reception. During my stay she has remarkably shown herself in providing top class service & has the ability to delighting the guest. Service with a smile goes a long way. A true Brand Ambassador of Hard Rock!

A good first time experience.

We had a very nice, relaxing time at the Hard Rock.The facilities within the resort itself were good to excellent.It would be nice to have the standard of the adjoining beach upgraded to a level that would complement the resort overall.

Will need a longer stay at this hotel. Awesome!

P. Visvanathan + Aju. He made our holiday so thourghtfull and hefull went out of his way. When we arrived we had problems with our room 3 rooms in the first hour, Leon was very helpfull about our meals. Nathan was hardwroking and so helpfull and went out of his way to give good service.

SID! From hard rock cafe. She loves her job and is doing it with passion. Always smiling and having fun. Very good! Rock cafe has good fun! Shuttle bus is a good idea! Stuff in general very friendly.

The staff at HRH are excellent, in particular Black and Anthony at the poolside, the supervisor at Starzz, and all the Concierge guys.  They made coming back a pleasure.  I'd also like to thank the guy at Room Service for sending up a chocolate cake for my daughters 8th birthday! Rock on!

This was our 4th trip to HR Hotel for the last 2 years. My family and I enjoyed the stay very much. My kids love the swimming pool. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The Rock Spa treatment was great! We definitely coming again!!!

Star of Hard Rock Hotel (Starz Diner) I would like to applaud Roy from Starz Diner. He demostrated excellent service & efficientcy. Here are my observation: 1. very sharp manager: He ensures that tables are cleared quickly to reduce waiting time for diners.2. Mr hands on: Not only he gives instructions, he helped out with ensuring the restaurant is clean and not messy. 3. Excellent team leader. When I personally thank him. He said that his team made it all happened. When you have a team leader that walks the talk, motivate & builds rapport and of course numble. You will have a wonderful team that makes Hard Rock Special. Once again, my family & I would like to thank Starz Diner team for giving us a great start to our day. Thanks, Reza & family

Eye (Pool staff) Very helpful, friendly and good with kids. There is one lady in charged of putting up christmas tree in Starz Diner, she has asked my daughter to decorate the Christmas tree with her, really made my daughter happy! Thanks to her, all ffs are superb!

During check-in, our child accidentally broke the glass in which the welcome drink was served. She soon found herself surrounded by Hard Rock staff who were more concerned if she had suffered any cuts than the broken glass. They were also very prompt in cleaning up the mess. We were very impressed with the service and really must commend the staff on duty at that time. It's one of the reasons why we had chose Hard Rock chain of hotels again. We have previously experienced the child-friendliness of the H.R. hotels elsewhere. Please keep up the good service. It's a very nice feeling for the guests to feel welcomed by the staff whenever we are greeted or smiled at in whichever part of the hotel and be attended promptly & politely when we needed help. This sets Hard Rock hotels apart from the rest. We have recommended your hotel to all our family, friends & colleagues. Keep up the good job & keep rockin'! :)

We had an awesome stay and plan to return again. Things we like:

1. swimming pool - the kids loved it
2. room atmosphere and bed was very comfortable
3. hotel staff very friendly and helpful
4. spa - our kids enjoyed the spa for kids - mani, pedi and facial
5. rock shop - good selecton of t-shirts for men and women

I'm very grateful for the service given by security personnel of the hotel, not for accommodation, but when a hard rock visitor is in emergency need of help, and that visitor is me. I suffered a bad puncture of my car tyre in the car park and was all by myself and my wife to initiate the tyre replacement. It was tough to see anything at night and what more when its raining! Half way through, a security personnel came by, supposed as part of their duty to check why is that particular car stayed stationery there for quite a while. This guy handed me a helping hand in such time of desperate need and I'm truly grateful to him. I just know him as Raj...and Thanks Raj!

I think FIRST IMPRESSION really IMPORTANT!! I called almost all the hotels along beach side for enquiry, HARD ROCK PENANG 's reception and reservation rated the top! Not only I get follow up call, and the room information really in detail. They are really HELPFUL and CARING. I felt deeply that they really trying HARD to full fill my request. Cause I told them that I DESPERATELY looking for a ROMANTIC room for a-la "HONEYMOON" holiday with my boy friend. Thank you very much!!

Overall; the staff are great, friendly, efficient, courteous and helpful. The ambience of the whole surroundings of the hotel internally and externally are simply awesome. The liveband that had played at the Hard Rozk Cafe was excellent and the sound system was just great! Definitely to make a comeback to the hotel!!!

The main assets of Hard Rock Hotel is it's staff which I must comment as excellent and would stay there again for their friendliness and always with a smile. A job well done in their training. This Resort has "Energy" like no other. An unbeleivably cool experience I can recommend to all I know.The extra distance the staff go to ensuring your stay is special. We would have liked to stay longer.

Came to stay here two weeks ago. I have to compliment sharmain from the reception. She really made us right at home with her warmth, big smile and quick action in getting us a room even though we were early. Hi, Stayed at your renowned hotel for the first time (19 - 21 Jun 2011). Brought 5 kids to the Cafe, oldest being 15, and the youngest 7,tonight, and left them there alone. Kids enjoyed themselves thoroughly. This is not possible with the presence of the great crew who were manning the premises tonight. The crew totally changed my mindset about HRCs being rowdy and loud. The lady and gentleman at the door instilled the confidence in me, and made me let the 5 kids in. It was the best experience for the kids for this trip... Many many thanks Daniel

Me n my family had wonderful experience at the Lobby Lounge on 11 June 2011.We did not stay but had our Dad's 60th Birthday Party here. Mr David n Team were awesome. Drinks, food n birthday cake was superb. Thumbs up to Mr David for arranging a wonderful birthday party on a short notice.I am sure Mr David is a valued staff of HRHP.I only approached him on 10 June 2011. less than a day, he arranged for the space,BIRTHDAY CAKE,FOOD..ETC...live music was good too..Me n my family (15 persons) will definitely stay at HRHP on my next trip to Penang.Thank you for the wonderful experience and customer service!!

Recently spent four nights in the Hard Rock Hotel, I would like to thank the the staff for a most memorable time. We really appreciate his help and effort on searching my white gold bracelet in the dark on that day although the chance was fairly low but his positive attitude was really impressed. Philip Ching-extremely helpful, attentive towards details, responsible and excellent. Well done from planning my wedding reception so well, trying his level best to ensure the event went well. He went all out helping us to achieve an ideal wedding. All my guests are happy with the food and service. Our honeymoon stay is full of pleasant surprises, we are surely going home with memories.

Hi,
We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel Penang for the night of my Birthday (30th Sept). We had a wonderful time there. We were at the romm# 355 & the room was well appointed. We played in the pools during the daytime and enjoyed a drink @ the shack and later settled for some wonderful pizza at the pizzeria by the beach. At sundown we walked by the beach which was maintained by the hotel. Finally we wrapped up by going to the Hard Rock Cafe which has always been a favourite place for us. We have been to almost 7 HRC around the world and we always buy a Tee as a souvenier. The staff were extremely courteous,energetic,hospitable & customer centric. I was surprised to see the level of energy every one had. I would personally like to thank all the staff in front of the house and the back of the house for making our stay at the HRH memorable.
